We have the following membership levels.

All new applicants will, pending approval, pay the one time fee of $25.00 (CAD) as well as the fee relevant to their approved membership level.

Once you apply, your application will be reviewed. If approved, you will pay both the fees at the same time to our Treasurer.

Professional

Cost: $65 Per Calendar Year

This level holds voting privileges

Professional (Senior 65+)

Cost: $50 Per Calendar Year

This level holds voting privileges

Associate

Cost: $65 per calendar year

This position does not hold voting privileges

Associate (Senior 65+)

Cost: $50 per calendar year

This position does not hold voting privileges

Educator

Cost: $50 per calendar year

This position does not hold voting privileges

Student

Cost: $50 per calendar year

This position does not hold voting privileges

Alumni

Cost: $50 per calendar year

This non-voting category may be extended to any tour guide previously engaged in the industry but currently retired.

Out of Town (This level will apply to Professional or Associate Levels)

This level holds voting privileges

Open to any local or long-distance tour guide who is presently working either full or part time in the tourism profession.

Must attend 1 function per year and guide minimum of 6 tours (2+ hours long each) per calendar year

Professional - Out Of Town - $50.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2025 No automatically recurring payments Cost: $50 per calendar year

Open to any local or long-distance tour guide who is presently working either full or part time in the tourism profession, located outside of the Lower Mainland and unable to reasonably travel to regular events in Downtown Vancouver. Defined as being 1.5 hours drive from City Centre.

Professional (Senior 65+) - $50.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st

This position does not hold voting privileges

Any tour guide actively engaged in the industry but acting as a guide five (5) times or less in each calendar year, to anyone acting as a “Meet and Greet”, to any representative of travel related corporations, organizations, or one representative of any Federal, Provincial, or Municipal Government department who may be invited to attend regular meetings of the Association subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Associate - Out of Town - $50.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2025 No automatically recurring payments Cost: $50 per calendar year

Educator - $50.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2025 No automatically recurring payments Cost: $50 per calendar year

This non-voting category may be extended to any full or part-time educator in an accredited institution actively teaching in tourism, tourism administration or a related field.

Student - $50.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2025 No automatically recurring payments Cost: $50 per calendar year

This non-voting category may be extended to any full or part-time student or educator in an accredited institution actively studying or teaching in tourism administration or a related field.
