MEMBERSHIP ROSTER: Before the Annual General Meeting (on 16 November), which will be after the end of October membership renewals, we will be publishing an up-to-date membership roster which (unless we hear otherwise from you) will include names, phone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses and languages spoken. It is intended for the Members of the CTGA of BC only and should not be given out to anyone else. It will then be up-dated every year in November and March. Members are reminded to check the mailing label to see when your membership expires. Many memberships expire at the end of this month and must be renewed before you can vote at the Annual General Meeting. Please either bring your cheque to the next meeting or mail it to our Vancouver address.

Remember how three, four and five years ago (or longer) we all started hearing about big New Year's Eve parties that were being planned for 31 December 1999? Have you heard of even one for this coming New Years Eve? Well here's one that you might not want to miss: Sunday 31 December 2000 at the Westin Bayshore Resort and Marina, Vancouver, starting at 9 PM. In TWO of the new ballrooms (you can go back and forth from one to the other): 4 Bands: TROOPER, DOUG & THE SLUGS, JAIKE & ELWOODS BLUES BROTHERS REVIEW, AND TROPICANA a 15 piece Latino Band. $95 per person. Extra options available if you wish to stay overnight at the hotel. Tickets: Ticket Master. . .280-4444. Need we remind you how much fun, we all had when the CTGA went dancing at Federico's Supper Club last February??? We suggest you run to the phone (we and other CTGA members have) and book pronto before this event sells out.

The highest mountain entirely within BC is Mount Waddington on Vancouver Island at 4016 metres or 13,373 feet and if I knew why it's called that I'd tell you. Where's my copy of the new "Encyclopedia of BC?"

We hope to see or hear from you soon. Til then Happy Trails!!!
